Job OverviewJob Outline Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the physiological assessment of clients using Computerised Dynamic Posturography, Ocular Motor Testing and educational tests to determine evidence of Cerebellum Developmental Delay (CDD), which the client believe to be root cause of learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyspraxia and attention problems. An important aspect of the role is gaining accurate information of client progress via an in-depth questionnaire, which requires excellent communication skills. The exercise programme is tailor made for each client therefore acquiring reliable physiological results is vital in enabling clients to progress at the correct pace to ensure a successful outcome. You will need to gain client trust and confidence and be enthusiastic in motivating them to comply with their exercise programme.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities To carry out assessments professionally and confidently To interpret test results accurately and competently To communicate the results to the client clearly and concisely using excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of empathy To maintain accurate, comprehensive and concise client records To motivate clients to comply with exercise programme in order to reach their full potential To maintain client confidentiality To ensure the DORE Centre presents a professional image at all times To communicate effectively and appropriately with both children and adults To ensure a positive and caring environment for all clients To assist colleagues as required
Skills / Qualifications / Experience RequiredEducation / Qualifications needed : A degree in any of the following: Physiotherapy Psychology Occupational Therapy Sports Science Audiology Midwifery Radiography Biology Health Sciences / Studies A nursing or teaching background A diploma or HND in a relevant field of expertise Experience A minimum of two years experience dealing with children and dealing with vulnerable adults and / or dealing with people with learning disabilities or in a clinical setting.
