My mum, 89 years young required some help with tv not working. Peter Shaw went out to her. Ultimately she needed a new tv and Peter arranged to do this for her. I cannot praise Peter enough. I felt completely reassured knowing that he would take care of everything, including making sure that mum understood how to work things. It was also a pleasure for me to have contact with him and know that he is the type of person who will be 100% efficient and honest. Thank you Peter.
How our old system worked was a miracle having been installed 18 years ago. The aerial and cabling defied logic but were no match for Peter and his aerial fitter (Who's name escapes me for the moment, but his efficiency does not) Every thing now works perfectly and I am fortunate in choosing absolute tv repairs.
Peter responded quickly to my phone call. Handled the problem patiently and realistically. Didn’t charge us a call out fee (it was decided that the tv was in all likelihood beyond repair and not worth the charge of an investigation). Would definitely recommend Peter.
In dispair I contacted Peter when my Sony TV was causing me problems, Peter came out within the hour and took the tv away and went the extra mile to see if a repair was possible. It wasn’t so he gave me good honest advise on the way forward, I instantly accepted his professional and honest advise and within a few days a new TV was sourced at a very reasonable cost, delivered and installed. In this day and age it’s not easy to find very knowledgable, professional and helpful companies that offer a first class realible service - Peter at Absolute TV is definently one and I would have no issue with recommend them. Very happy and satisfied customer.
I bought a TV set through Peter a year or more ago which has given me good service. I had a problem with it recently and contacted Peter who said he would visit the next day, which he did. He diagnosed the fault and corrected it. He was courteous and efficient and his fee was most reasonable. I recommend for anyone needing a TV engineer.
Peter visited to look at a problem I had with a Sony sound bar a couple of hours after my initial call to him. He dismantled the sound bar to examine the circuitry but unfortunately found it to be beyond economical repair. True to his word, he made no attempt to charge for his call out or time. He also offered sound advice regarding replacement unit. A knowledge, honest and reliable tv engineer Recommended.
Before I recently moved from Bournemouth my samsung 50" TV broke down. I called a High St shop who came out and condemned my set as unrepairable. I was urged to purchase a new TV. Before doing so I called Absolute TV Repairs for a 2nd opinion. Mr Shaw came and very quickly diagnosed my problem. Mr Shaw took my TV away and returned it to me 3 days later working perfectly, which saved me spending £400. 00 + on a new TV. Absolutely Delighted ! .
Our 18 year old Sony Trinitron TV eventually gave up the ghost, As Absolute TV Repairs are local, we gave them a "ring" and Peter Shaw was able to visit later that day. We decided to purchase another TV from Peter at a most competitive cost, which he delivered and set-up for us, We would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this Company and the provided services. We have no hesitation in using Peter Shaw again.
I have nothing but praise for the owner of this Company, Peter Shaw. He came to see our TV the day I phoned him and took it back to his workshop to try to analyse the problem. In the event the TV has proven to be not repairable and Peter has since been most helpful in trying to pursue my warranty claim with John Lewis. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.
Peter Shaw collected our TV(SAMSUNG 55") for repair on 2nd August. In case of TV being unable to repair (Peter stated that but we already chatted with provider and provided agreed to exchange it as our guarantee was approved ) we wanted to collect our TV. We said that we want our TV back and it doesn't matter what we want it back. Our TV was disposed within days without any notice and our permission in just few days 08. 09 he said it is disposed as it was unable to fix it. We do have a receipt that items deemed impossible for repair will be disposed of 30 days after notification unless collected, but we did not gave any approve for it and wanted to collect our TV. Finally Peter agreed he did a mistake and offered us to BUY another TV from him while we wanted to refurbish our 1. 8k TV. So we was not sure is he is a TV handyman or seller? When we asked what TV he said SONY…. Just image you brought your car for fixing and when you coming to collect it they say "Oh. It is how it is your car been disposed, I can offer you to buy from me another car which you know NOTHING" I would count that a a stealing as he disposed our TV, it is against a law and it is only his word. He could's provide any documentation that our TV was disposed and where it was disposed. How professional working 35+ years in this industry could do such a thing? Mr Shaw came to my property spoke very highly of ways he could help us and get me all the different options available. When the repair couldn't be completed by himself he advise me the LG would have a look at it but requiring up front fee of £125. The fee charged it was actually only £50 plus VAT according to the invoice He sent the telly to LG in Basingstoke they told me telly was scrap fair enough. I then had many telephone conversations with Mr Shaw where he blatantly lied and was dead against giving me my television back even though it was scrap. I've since found out from Currys I have got a 5-year warranty on my telly which is covered hence I needed my telly back three conversations he disputed they wanted it. Eventually we had to go and pick up the telly ourselves from his property. The man was rude he lied didn't know what he was talking about I would not recommend this firm to anybody. Not a happy customer. Who was witnessed by my parents as they were always here and I was on loudspeaker when I spoke to this man.Moreexpand_more
