Was excellent he came and done done the job and done it quick he was amazing nice and I definitely recommend him.

We received an excellent service from Alistair. He spent time to fully understand our requirements and advised on the course of action required. He successfully obtained for us both planning permission with listed building consent and a building warrant for the work we wanted to progress. Extremely knowledgeable and very responsive, we would highly recommend Alistair.

I worked with Alcon Design during a project to build a garage and porch at my house. They were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. The planning and warrant drawings were created at reasonable price and all permissions were granted quickly and with minimal fuss. I would definitely recommend.

We had plans drawn for a 1. 5 storey house to be built. Alistair came up with a design and layout which incorporated some very clever use of space, and while being a 'new build', it would be in keeping with the rural location of the plot. He listened to our wishes and always offered suggestions. He did all of the work with the local authority to successfully acquire detailed planning permission for the site, for a competitive price. I would have no hesitation in using Alistair for any works we may do in the future.

Alistair done the drawings for a garage and utility extension for us and was brilliant from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble we could call or email him if there was anything we were unsure about which there was for example how long the process took, could we make the window more centre. Really pleased with the service provided by Alcon Design. We requested Alistair's service to design something which would add an extra bedroom onto our semi-detached house, within a tight budget. We had a few ideas about how we might be able do this, and when Alistair came, he clearly highlighted the pros and cons of each. Alcon Design was an excellent company to deal with. We got Alister’s name on a recommendation and he did not disappoint. He helped us think through the design for our attic conversion and took on board all that we requested, whilst managing our sometimes unrealistic expectations. He did a wonderful job of our designs which we were delighted with and he was always accessible if we had any questions. Cannot fault him with cost or timelines and would have no hesitation in recommending him.

I asked Alistair to prepare plans for a new garage for planning and building control purposes. Plans prepared on time and Alistair listened to our particular needs and included them in his plans. Good value and easy to work with. Plans also used for builder to work from.

I recently used the services of Alcon Design to create architectural drawings to enable me to utilise my roof space for a bathroom Dormer extension. Alistair had a couple of site visits to survey my house and come up with a solution in what is quite a restricted space. The drawings were produced to my satisfaction and Alistair also put me in touch with a structural engineer to provide additional structural drawings. Alistair took this package of work to East Dunbartonshire Council for approval which was duly granted. Whist the construction of my extension is postponed at present due to the Corona Virus pandemic, I am sure the extension will be a useful addition to my home when completed. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alcon Design to others as they provided a friendly and professional service for myself. .

Immediately from the initial visit, we found Alistair to have a good knowledge of the local area, he always listened to what we wanted, he shared the same vision. At all times he was very efficient and detailed with his drawings. Any requests we made were dealt with quickly and with ease. The process of designing my loft conversion was carried out smoothly and quickly. Alistair responded to all of my emails promptly. We felt listened to and our suggestions were acted upon.

We commissioned Mr Connell from Alcon Design to draw up plans and submit to the council for approval for a small building improvement to our home. After contacting around 8 architects for an estimate this chap said he'd call free of charge to have a look at what we wanted to do and give us a free estimate. After the initial discussion my husband and I decided instantly we would use him. We had a very neat time line and wanted to keep to it. The dimensions were noted and the wheels of the process started to turn straight away. Mr Connell kept us up to date throughout. We only had to chase once and Mr Connell's full response was within an acceptable timeframe. We recommend Alcon Design and if the situation arose we would definitely use again.

Alcon design provided drawings for our new utility area and kitchen alterations and submitted them for planning. It was all done very friendly and professionally.
