We were stuck with a broken patio door on the 8th floor for weeks ! After many unsucessful attemps at fixing the door Algy managed to sort it within the hour ! Could not be more thankful, very respectful and polite man and could not be more pleased with the result.

Alan has just completed a project for us renovating and changing the layout of our dormer bungalow. Alan came highly recommended to us by friends who had recently had work done by him, and he didn’t disappoint! Along with his brother Ash and several other trades such as electricians, plasterers, structural engineers who Alan brought in when needed Alan has transformed our previously dark and impractical bungalow into a warm, light beautiful family home. The work done was wide ranging and included:- knocking down a structural wall and installing a new RSJ- Fitting new patio doors, windows and veluxes- removing a chimney- relocating the bathroom including digging out new drains- fitting the kitchen- all the finishing touches such as plastering and fitting skirting boardsEverything was done to a very high standard. Attention was paid to detail and Alan kept us up to date with progress every day. Alan and Ash were always in good spirits and very easy company to have around, always thinking of ways to make our life a bit easier such as installing a temporary kitchen when ours was removed and even digging up one of my prized plants when Alan realised the skip would need to go on top of it! These guys are honestly brilliant and we will be asking them back to do the upstairs soon. Thankyou Alan!

Alan is a good builder and has now done two jobs for us. He is a pleasure to work with - reliable, trustworthy and kept us informed of his progress each day. We were very impressed with the quality of the workmanship and would have no hesitation in recommending his services.

These guys really do take pride in their work. They removed the old brickwork in between both bay windows and replaced it with modern cladding also including a complex lintel above the bottom bay window. The workmanship was First Class and everything was left neat and tidy after every day. I would certainly use this company again and would definitely recommend them.

These guys are the GOOD GUYS! Honestly, they are perfect in every way, genuine, helpful, tidy, punctual, high quality finish and standards, competitive pricing and full of great advice. Have just had some structural work done (really not a pleasant job, had to put a large RSJ in a fiddly position) and I am so impressed, they will now be carrying out all of the renovation on my whole property! We have now used Alan for a number of home improvement projects - the latest venture being a bathroom conversion. Alan and his team have transformed our 3 bed semi-detached house converting a separate dining room and kitchen into a kitchen-diner and restoring the wall between the living room and dining room, which were previously separated by drafty sliding doors. Additionally bi-fold doors were installed to the rear of the property together with a redesign of the windows (including the installation of Velux loft windows) have totally transformed our living space and given us great views of our garden. Also a previously cramped under-stairs downstairs toilet has been redesigned and brought into the 21st century too! Algy Construction Services Ltd was highly recommended to us, and we have been very impressed, Alan's service and professionalism have been second to none. We are extremely happy with what he has created for us and whilst this may sound cheesy, his work has transformed our lives and we love our new kitchen-diner, thank you Alan (and his team! ). Alan is competitively priced and puts your interests first, he looked after our needs throughout and ensured that a usable kitchen was available throughout the process, even re-sighting the cooker and sink until the new one arrived and was installed. Dust was kept to a minimum throughout with careful screening and he and his team were very respectful and considerate of our needs too and we and not least our young children miss him now the project is complete, it was like he was one of the family whilst he was here. Additionally, whilst our kitchen was designed by a kitchen company, Alan installed it ensured that we were happy with the finish and even gave us bespoke additions too (such as ensuring cupboards would maximise on space by adding in extra shelves and such) and consulted us throughout and listened to our views whilst giving us his professional advice too. Algy is a great builder - he takes a pride in his work and always tries to make sure you get a good deal. The bifold doors he sourced and installed were perfect and much cheaper than I expected. The new kitchen I have transforms the house. I’ve already recommended him to a colleague and they’re delighted.

Alan and his team supplied and built a lovely conservatory for us. His team work very hard turn up when arranged and work efficiently until the job is finished. We have had complementary comments about the quality of the brickwork in particular from other tradesmen. Alan offers his advice, when asked, and is prepared to explain his comprehensive knowledge to you. Highly recommended friendly people who know their trade and do work to a high standard. They also have a good sense of humour and enjoy a good laugh.

Alan Rose (Algy) managed and built our new extension, transforming our previously separate kitchen and dining room into a fantastic open plan combined living space. The project also included a single story extension with a pitched roof, bifolding doors and velux windows. In addition we converted our garage into an office. I am sure the pictures will show the results and do the project full justice. The work was expertly project managed and in a highly professional and sensitive manner, including regular updates to our neighbours. Alan also worked flexibly around our work (at home) and family life, which was also greatly appreciated. Alan was also able to recommend a number of high quality contractors and introduced us to them. All in all, a very professionally managed and delivered project that came in on budget and to our timescales.

Guttering, rendering patch up job on 3 storey terrace. Just the kind of fella's you want doing the jobs. Turned up and no messing straight to it. From a female perspective not once made me feel uncomfortable or that I had no idea what I was on about, genuine decent people.

Had groundwork done in back garden in preparation for a large garden shed to be situated on. A quality job at a good price carried out in a polite professional tidy manner. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Algy Construction Services Ltd.

Al has so far completed 2 jobs for us and both are of a high quality, we asked him to alter a canopy over the front door and he came up with options we had not considered. He is straight forward and efficient and doesn't push to do un-necessary things. When I tried to pay him he said I had given him more than the asked price (as I had forgotten the exact amount)so it shows how honest and trusting he is. I can wholeheartedly recommend his company. If all builders were like him they would not have such a bad name.

Algy has done a few jobs for me over the last couple of months all with great results. He has carried out building work and fitted a new kitchen, the workmanship being to an excellent standard, he also co-ordinated the other trades required (plasterer, plumber, electrician etc) saving me alot of time and hassle. He also helped sort out a bodged bathroom fitting left by another tradesman (not associated with Algy). Most recently I have had work done to two chimneys and a fire fitted. All in all very honest, often left with house keys, reasonable prices… would highly recommend!

Jan to April 2015. Undertook a reconfiguration and refurbishment project. The final result was beautiful. With this company you get trustworthy and reliable service at a sensible price. Furthermore, Alan knows a wide range of other people such as decorators, who can help with the finishing touches. Will definitely use Algy construction again in the future.

We hired Algy Construction Services after a recommendation from friends for work that was similar to their project. From our first meeting, Alan showed his passion for the building project and commitment to work that was in keeping to the style of the property (c. 1916). We bought a property and before we moved in, we wanted to completely renovate it. The work included creating a kitchen/diner and removing 3 structural walls in the process. Relocating the existing kitchen and fitting it. Adding a downstairs bathroom. Excavating the kitchen floor to fit a damp proof course. Fitting a cooker into the chimney breast and fitting extractor fans to vent it. Removing an external door. Dropping the chimney to make it safe. Extending the bathroom to include a toilet, removing yet another supporting wall in the process. Fitting a new bathroom. Re-plastering various cracks and holes. Tiling the bathroom. Relocating several light fittings, plug sockets and switches. Fitting spot lights to the kitchen and bathrooms. Fitting extractor fans to the bathrooms. Relocating the loft hatch and fitting an integrated loft ladder. Re-hanging the doors that we’d had stripped. Fitting a laminate floor throughout (which was totally his favourite part). The project involved a number of trades, with most working to the same quality standard as Alan, ranging from the structural engineer that developed the plans, through to the bricklayer, plasterer, tiller and electricians. We’re really happy with the quality of the work carried out. We had some issues along the way that were unable to be planned for at the outset but Alan was quick to provide the options to address them and was able to work to the same quality standard throughout. We were working to a tight deadline with the expected arrival of our second daughter and Alan managed to complete the project in time. We moved in on the Tuesday with a couple of finishing touches needed until Friday, in time for our daughter to arrive on the Saturday!We love our new kitchen diner and it is the heart of our home.
