I was kept informed at all stages; from Mark’s initial visit and quote, to progress of the project before and after installation. Mark and Maria have an excellent team. They work carefully, with health and safety in mind for all. There was great attention to detail; they are the only team that have laid down plastic protection on my carpets while working inside. Mark designed and installed a 13. 76 kWp residential solar system at my house. Mark and his team did an outstanding job, from advising on the best way to design the system, to choosing the panels, inverters, etc, to completing the job to the highest quality, which even the most picky amongst ourselves could not fault. Mark listened and attended to the tiniest details and patiently answered every single question both over emails and in person. I cannot be happier with the install and will recommend ARP again and again.

We'd been thinking about installing solar panels for a little while and had done some research into different systems. We finally got a couple of local company names from the internet. We contacted both companies by email and Advanced Renewable Power was the first to respond. They made an appointment over the phone for Steve to visit and then sent an email confirmation. Steve gave us lots of information and answered all the questions we had. He also took various measurements of the roof pitch, size and orientation and was immediately able to give us an idea of how much a variety of solar panels would cost and what sort of return we could expect. Steve sent us a full formal quotation with these details by email on the evening of the day of his initial visit. We subsequently had a visit and quote from the second company but they did not meet the standard set by Steve and ARP although they did give us a slightly different perspective on a couple of things. We finally decided on a relatively small change to the ARP quote and invited ARP to install solar panels for us. Before the installation they did a full structural survey of the roof and a more detailed inspection of our electrical system. We then agreed a date for the installation (within a couple of weeks) and were very satisfied with the scaffolders, the roofers and the electricians. They all worked very efficiently, were obviously experienced in their work and left their work areas clean and tidy when they had finished. The thing that surprised us was how we could immediately see the solar panels were working because of the little monitor that comes with the system. They even generate sufficient electricity when it’s overcast to run the everyday essentials like the fridge, freezer and computer. ARP did all the necessary paperwork for us to register for the feed in tariff and we have now given in our first reading and are waiting to receive our first payment - that's on top of saving money by not using as much electricity from the national grid. I began looking at PV installation in the early spring of 2014. I went through a referral service and within 24hrs had been contacted by three local companies. Two shall remain nameless and the third was ARP. Craig from ARP called to do the original site inspection and was very thorough in all aspects – measuring the roof angle, determining site aspect etc. He even looked at the possibility of installing the panels on the double-garage roof. He then spent quite some time in explaining the various systems, advantages and disadvantages. At no point was there any hard sell. The other two companies came to do their inspections and although their rep’s appeared less thorough they too were very convincing in promoting their particular installations. I was in a quandary, all of the presentations had merit and while prices were all within around £1000 of each other I couldn’t decide on a system. Then two of the companies (NOT ARP) got into a bit of unethical, in my opinion, behaviour which soured the whole process. I shelved the idea and decided to do further research. At the start of 2015 I decided to resurrect the plan, got another couple of quotes and then decided to ring ARP. Craig, I understand had left the company, but Mark was extremely helpful in his place. I arranged a site visit. The price was right, the reviews on this site and others were very favourable towards ARP and Mark’s knowledge of his company’s products was impressive. So my wife and I decided to sign a contract there and then. An installation date was set for a date less than two weeks from the time of signing. Two days prior to the system installation a team of scaffolders arrived to install roof access. They were all canny lads, who were quick, efficient and tidy. Two days later two teams of two, electricians and roofers, arrived to do the installation. They went about their work quickly, protected carpets and other furnishings and the patio area below the roof. On completion one of the electricians explained the various monitoring gadgets that came with the system. The roof panels were perfectly fitted, no unevenness, and the inverter and associated gubbins were nicely installed inside a large cupboard. When I went into the loft to check that the wiring was neat and tidy it took me a few minutes to find any trace of it such was the neatness of it. The system we went for was 14 Sun Edison panels giving a max’ output of 3.99kw and guaranteed by ARP backed by an independent trade body for 25 years. All the panels and visible supports are black, blending nicely with the dark grey roof tiles The installation included a SolarEdge inverter system which is guaranteed by the manufacturer for 12 years. The system has now been in operation for a little under a month and is performing as I expected. Unfortunately the English weather is also performing as many of us expect. However, it’s remarkable that even on a very dull and overcast day it can generate enough to power most of the appliances we have on during the day. In short, if there’s a better solar PV system installer out there I would be surprised. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, including the back office staff, involved with ARP for their excellent service. Installation of the solar panels went really smoothly. From the first point of contact for a quotation until after the panels were installed and all the paperwork completed they were very professional and provided an excellent service. I did quite a bit of research on Solar PV renewable energy before I contacted numerous firms for a quote. I have to say that when I first read the first class reviews about arp I thought there is no way a company can be that good. However, boy was I wrong! From the moment I first met Craig their Sales Manager and Mark their Technical Director I knew that this was an exceedingly reputable company. No hard sell, [which I definitely liked, unlike the other companies I had quotes from. They totally put my mind at ease and answered all of my questions professionally and more importantly truthfully and believe me I asked them a lot of questions over the course of time. The installation went very smoothly and all of the work was done to perfection, I must give a special mention to the electrician who went out of his way to ensure that there was no visible electrical wiring etc, much to my wives pleasure. Also anytime that I had to contact their main office, the two girls that dealt with my queries, Maria and Rachel were excellent and exemplary in dealing with everything, which included setting up my FIT contract with Good Energy which saved me all that hassle as well. So to summarize, does ARP deserve their five star reviews, oh yes without a doubt and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. From the first visit my wife and I were impressed by the courtesy of the staff and their knowledge and professionalism. I obtained visits and quotations from 3 other providers but none could approach Mark and Craig for listening to our questions and answering them in a straightforward manner. In the end their price was the best of the lot and gave us the most complete package. On the installation days the scaffolder's were cheerful, prompt and careful; the dismantling was so fast that we did not have time to finish breakfast before they had it down and were away. The Roofing gang carried out the panel fitting in miserable weather but did so cheerfully and speedily; as for the electricians, they too worked tirelessly to complete the job and left our property in a neat and tidy state. Hopefully they got the message that we appreciated their efforts, and they, the tea and mince pies provided! We would recommend ARP to anyone who asks about Solar energy, and wish them a long and profitable future.

The whole process was carried out efficiently and well by Advanced Renewable Power. It took less than one week from the date the contract was signed to the system being fully operational. The scaffolding was erected on the previous day and the next day the team arrived on time and the system was operating by 4. 30 p. M. On the same day. I found the team courteous and they were clearly aiming to carry out their work to a very high standard. One of the electricians took time out to explain to me exactly how the system was going to work to include the digital monitoring system. Initially we had had some concerns about how the cabling was to be run to connect the system to our mains supply. We did not want disturbance to the house given that the fuse box was in the centre of the property. Other contractors had been vague about how they would carry this out and one wanted a signature before they would investigate. This company found an excellent solution which involved running the cable under some roof tiles which they removed and replaced. This was not the cheapest estimate we received but high quality components were installed. Also they were not attempting to install too many solar panels which would have involved fixing them too close to the roof edge. All the work was carried out to a very high standard and we are very pleased with the resultant system. A first class installation from beginning to end. Mark explained fully all the technical specifications of the 4kw system we had installed. The installation itself could not have been more professional with courteous workers who cleaned up everything afterwards. Am very pleased with the high quality panels installed and would recommend ARP without hesitation.

I had done a significant amount of research on solar panels and knew the technology and specification I wanted; so contacted the companies who would be able to meet those needs. AR Power was the one of only three companies, which met this need. Although I had quotes from a further three to use as a comparison. I reviewed AR Power website and they had all the accreditations, qualifications and understanding to meet those needs. I wanted a bespoke specification and AR Power provided a number of options available specifically tailored to our requirements. AR Power were always on hand to answer any questions I had. The level of service and knowledge was excellent. AR Power were the only company who used a theodolite to measure the roof. Simple, quick and effective, no tape measures, iPhone Apps or manual calculations to get the size and angle of the roof. A clear message to all other companies on how to get it right first time, in addition an excellent indication of the potential workmanship to come. AR Power provided a detailed quote, installation timelines and were quick to answer the phone. It took Mark and the team one day to put the scaffold up, one day for install and one day to take the scaffold down - all done in three (albeit long day for the install). The system was commissioned at 18.30 and was generating.
