About Avonpat
Do you know that you may be paying too much ? , please do not assume that you must have your appliances tested annually, this is not true so please contact me for further details.
Avonpat is an established business, offering In Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment generally known as Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) to clients throughout Bristol, Bath and the South West area. The company, which is located in Bristol, began trading in 2008 and has several previous years experience as a test engineer. City and Guilds qualified, insured and enhanced DBS (the new name for CRB) for children and vulnerable adults.
Extensive experience working on schools, clinics, care homes, factories and able to work out of hours if required at no extra cost. If work is carried out within the normal working day then every effort is made to be discreet and to minimise disruption for clients and staff.
With up to date knowledge and fully qualified staff, the company can provide a 'PAT' testing program for any type of business. The service is designed to ensure appliances are electrically safe for use, thereby ensuring that a business conforms to Health and Safety and Electricity at Work regulations and to ensure safety for staff and clients.
Specialising exclusively in Portable Appliance Testing, prospective clients can be confident that the work will be carried out efficiently and as quickly and discreetly as possible.
Sometimes the value of having electrical appliances tested may not be obvious until an accident occurs.
Avonpat has a satisfied network of clients, including University of Bristol, RSPCA and BBC production departments who all recognise the value of having their appliances checked and tested on a regular basis.
The company is managed by Bob Alderman who has been involved in the portable appliance testing business for many years, Bob is more than able to take good care of the company, having previously worked for a broad range of companies.
Avonpat will supply reports of all appliances tested in PDF which if required can then be printed by the client. Electronic storage is now a preferred and accepted method and saves on paper and storage (trying to play a part in saving the environment and possibly another tree) that are ideal for use as an asset register and can be stored within the client's Health and Safety file. A display certificate is also provided which the client can print and frame for display in their reception or staff room if required.
Avonpat also retain the test results and associated documentation in the event that further (free) copies are required, the benefit of this should be clear to the client. The testing procedure is available at a fair price and ensures the business is covered by insurers in the 'costly' event of an accident occurring.
With a staff body of 1 fully qualified engineer, Avonpat has 1, qualified City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Management of Electrical Equipment Maintenance.
