About Baby Circumcisions
We offer the traditional Jewish circumcision (Brit Mila) for Jewish babies or a regular circumcision for babies.
We prepare you for the day of the circumcision with our helpful parents check-list and specialist advice and information about the circumcision ceremony for your baby. We also offer after care advice and guidance to ensure you get the best possible care for your baby after the circumcision.
Parents Check List.
Before I come to you or you leave your house with your baby to come to my circimcision clinic for your baby's circumcision, please make sure you have or have done the following.
The following instructions are for a Jewish Ritual Brit Mila (Circumcision):
- Make sure guests are there in good time, you will not want to have to wait for people.
- Buy Kiddush wine to have present at the time of the circumcision. (Sealed bottle preferred).
- Choose a Jewish name that you wish for your baby to have.
- If you are having a Jewish ritual circumcision at home, pre-set up the room with two dining room chairs, a small table for the instruments, and a pillow with a clean towel over the top, 10 clean nappies and Kiddush wine.
Ideally this should be set up next to a window or near the brightest light in the room.
The following instructions are for all circumcisions:
- Purchase EMLA cream in advance from your local pharmacy and bring this with or have present.
- Purchase a 10 pack of Jelonet Paraffin Gauze Dressing 10cm X 10cm from your local pharmacy and bring this with or have present.
- Ensure at least 1 parent will be available for the first twenty-four hours after the circumcision.
- Bath the baby a couple of hours before the circumcision if this is possible.
- Do not feed your baby for a least an hour before the procedure, so that he is hungry and ready for a feed afterwards.
- Before undertaking your son's circumcision, I will discuss the nature and purpose of the procedure after which both parents will required to sign a simple consent form.0 FreeIndex Reviews
