Chilwell Piano Lessons

I have been having lessons with Mary for just over a year now and as an adult beginner I have found her to be both patient and diligent. She has already got me through Grade 2 and I'm looking towards Grade 3. With her sense of humour the lessons are never boring and I'm surprised at how quickly the time has passed.

Mary taught my daughter to play the piano. Mary is a brilliant teacher with a lovely manner which made the lessons a pleasure. I would highly recommend her.

I started lessons with Mary 11 years ago, up until last year when I moved away for University, achieving my Grade 5 practical. Mary is honestly the best piano teacher I could have ever asked for, and I wouldn't have changed a thing! She's kind, loving, patient, and  always helped me to reach my full potential! I highly recommend Mary if you are thinking about taking up piano lessons, and I can't wait to continue this journey when I get back!

My daughter started piano lessons at 9yrs old, until she moved to university and she achieved level 6, she plays so well. I was so impressed with Mary’s teaching skills I decided to take up lessons again, having not played for years, Mary is conciencious and patient, it is obvious she loves teaching and is very good. More recently my husband is taking lessons, I cannot recommend Mary enough and I would encourage anyone looking to take up piano lessons to contact Mary, because she is brilliant at teaching piano.

Mary has the best job in the world, she takes students without any preconceptions and teaches them how to play and enjoy music. She has a wonderful way of encouraging them up to their potential and knows just how to structure each lesson. She has been teaching my daughter for the past 5 years, up to grade 5 now. She is welcoming and kind and my daughter says that she always leaves with a smile. Highly recommended.

Mary is an extremely experienced piano teacher. She taught me as an adult, both theory and practical. She is very patient, kind and dedicated. I highly recommend her.

Mary has been teaching my three children piano lessons (practical and theory) for nearly ten years. All three of them thoroughly enjoy their lessons, reaching grade 5 so far with excellent exam results. Mary is a very friendly, patient teacher who has also taught them any pop music they have requested to learn. I have recommended Mary to a number of friends whose children now also enjoy lessons.

Mary is an excellent teacher of both piano theory and practice. She is both professional and friendly putting my daughter at ease and ulitises the lesson time to its full, ensuring that content is covered and inderstood. I always feel I have received great value for money and my daughter always looks forward to her lessons and is progressing well.

Having worked with Mary when she played piano for our infant school children to sing to, she was the obvious choice for teaching my own son piano. He always thoroughly enjoyed his lessons and achieved grade 5 with her, willingly. Her patience, kindness and experience are used to encourage her students to fulfill her high expectations.

Mary has been teaching my daughter piano for quite a while and she is currently working towards her grade 3. Mary is a fantastic teacher - she is kind and patient and she will teach at a pace suitable to ability. I am more than happy with the lessons and quality of teaching provided. Mary is an absolute gem and I would highly recommend her. I wouldn’t go anywhere else - I have found the perfect piano teacher.

Mary taught me piano lessons for over 10 years. I thoroughly enjoyed both the theory and practical side to the lessons and managed to achieve my grade 6 practical before going off to uni.
