We arrived at the venue given to us via the website for a Tipsy Afternoon booked with Funktion Events, to be told that there was no booking for us. The venue proceeded to ring the company, as did I. Both myself and the lady working at the venue were told that the Tipsy Afternoon Tea had been booked for the time specified at their venue, but that it had been cancelled by the suppliers. There had been no notification of this to us as a party. I asked the person what I was meant to do now as I had 10 people with no activity and nothing else booked for 3 and a half hours. There was no solution suggested. I requested a refund from Funktion Events and to have the situation followed up with a phone call to explain why the event had been cancelled on the Monday after the hen party. The day after the hen party, I received an email from Funktion Events to remind me of the ‘upcoming events’, which had already happened by that point. On the Monday when I had been promised a phone call explaining why our event had been cancelled, I received no call. I emailed to ask what had happened. The following day, the company claimed that there had been an IT error and that the website had sent us the wrong venue (despite being told that a supplier had cancelled the event when I spoke with someone on the day of the hen party). Over all, the company have offered empty apologies and have taken no accountability for the distress and anxiety that was caused to myself, the bride and the other 8 members of the party, simply not wanting to be at all out of pocket, despite providing an absolutely horrific service. I am the bride of a hen party, with an activity organised by this absolutely DREADFUL company. This company organised a 'dance class' for my hen, but instead of an actual studio, they arranged for the class to be held in a pub's function room. The room's floor was covered in shards of broken glass, bits of food and was just all round filthy. We were asked by the 'teacher' to do various moves on the floor - an extremely serious health and safety concern. There was also no ventilation in the room and given there were 20 of us doing exercise on a hot summer's day, the venue was simply unacceptable and totally inappropriate for what took place there. The 'teacher' also clearly has neither dance nor teaching experience. There was no warm up, she doesn't know how to count, and she was clearly making up the choreography on the spot because she keeps forgetting what she has previously taught. At one point, she just sat on the floor for 5 minutes, looking at ideas on the internet on her phone for what moves she can teach us next. She even asked our group what moves anyone can suggest. I was mortified by how shocking and disgraceful the whole experience was for me and my friends. In the end, we had to ask the teacher to leave because it was just so, so awful. I cannot believe we paid £500 for this utterly horrific experience. When we complained about the service after the event, the company had the audacity to lie about what we had experienced, despite being provided with video evidence of what had happened, as some of the girls were filming the class. It has completely ruined my hen, which is a huge part of an exciting wedding experience. Please be warned and avoid these absolute scammers at all costs!Moreexpand_more

Thoroughly enjoyed the life drawing hen party we did in London the other week. Super fun and not too rude! Simple to book and very clear and honest approach from the company.

We all had a lovely time doing the perfume making and dreamboys show in Liverpool. The Dreamboys are funny if a little tacky but thats what the hen wanted. Our budget was quite limited, so we asked for a budget hotel in the city centre which was provided. We stayed at the Travelodge, not the best hotel but cheap as chips, so exactly what we wanted. The online events area made my life simple and hassle as I could invite people to the hen weekend and they just paid for themselves.

Fantastic laugh with the lads on a stag do in Nottingham. Beer babes was worth the money, very sexy ladies! They made it no hassle with their online payment portal which meant I didnt have to chase any of the lads for any money.

Had a stag do in Liverpool arranged by Funktion Events. Our event manager was great and offered ideas that suited our group instead of just boring normal activities. On the stag weekend all the activities and hotels were as outlined with all running smoothly. I got an email prior to the event to see if I had any last minute questions which was a nice touch. Best thing for me was being able to use the online payment system, where I just invited my mates and they paid for themselves, made my like simple :).

What an amazing weekend in Leeds for my best friends hen do LEEDS 2 nights – 3 star hotel. Hot Breakfasts. Italian Evening Meal Cocktail Making Party. Dreamboys Show and Nightclub Entry COULD ASK FOR A BETTER WEEKEND, LOTS OF LAUGHS AND ALSO SUCH FRIENDLY, FAST SERVICE.

I organised a hen do in Leeds and function made this so much easier for me, the cost was great we were able to make a provisional booking (numbers only needed to be confirmed nearer the date which helps). The cocktail making was really good value, everyone loved it ! Defo recommend Dream boys were such a good night too and the venue was excellent for clubbing after I would recommend using this company for stress free events and would use again.

I booked raft building for my sisters hen weekend, there was 15 of us, of which 3 or 4 were not looking forward to it and refused to get in the water, but once we got started they couldn't wait to get in and race to the finish line. It was a good laugh and the staff were funny and very friendly. I would definitely recommend booking with this company, the communication before and after the event was brilliant, I have absolutely no complaints and will use them again in the future :).

Had an amazing hen day/night thanks to the great activities from funktion events. We had cocktail making to start with which was so much fun! And then we did the life drawing class which was brilliant! Highly recommend booking! :).
