Very helpful, couldnt do my tiling job as hes so busy but was very helpful and passed information on to other tilers he knew. Which is above and beyond and nice to see helping customers and other tilers!
We love our new cloakroom floor. We had black and white squares with a complicated dog-tooth border. Steve is very professional and did a great job!
We had been looking for a while to get our tiles repaired and restored and we were so glad we got Steve to do the job. His knowledge was exceptional and the work he done outstanding, thanks again Steve !
I guess this was a routine job for Steve. Our Minton floor was in need of some TLC. We had the usual gas pipe running through the floor and a few broken/cracked tiles. Ste suggested creating 2 new thresholds to match our existing ones. A good idea well executed. The results have been appreciated by ourselves and people visiting. Friends and family and even delivery men have commented on the floor. That in itself is testament to the results of Steve's work. We can now appreciate our beautiful floor again. I would have no hesitation in recommending that anyone with a victorian/minton floor should get Steve to take a look. You'll be over the moon with the results.Moreexpand_more
Steve's a very knowledgeable and skilled craftsman. We're glad we decided to have our Victorian porch tiles expertly restored; they complete the welcoming entrance to our house. Also, Steve kindly treated some modern tiles around our stove.
Steve is without doubt a master craftsman in his field. His depth of knowledge and experience is second to none. Steve is very passionate about his work, no job is too big or to small. He gave me 100% support when I laid my own floor. His advice was invaluable and without it, the tiles would still be in my garage. I cant recommend Steve enough.
Thanks to Steve I am now well on the way to restoring some new tiles which have been put down badly by a blog standard tiler. Steve has taken time out to listen to the problem, ask questions and check information on line re' my tiles. He has got back to me in double quick time via phone and email and even sent me a DIY sheet on how to restore my tiles. This professional enjoys his work and clearly wants tiles to be a thing of beauty. His advice and time were given freely, a rare thing these days. Thanks Steve.
Steve is a very helpful and knowledgeable person, who has helped me way beyond the call of duty regarding the restoration of my encaustic tile floor. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic on his subject.
Excellent design and quality of work, materials etc. Our beautiful tile floor has received several compliments already. It fits the style of the house perfectly.
From the outset, Steve was both informative and helpful, providing sound advice and guidance. He was reliable, keeping to agreed timescales and took a clear sense of pride in the finished product. We instructed Steve to effectively restore our kitchen floor, as the existing sealant was defective - we have now been using our 'new' floor for some weeks, and with both dog and baby it has been put to the test! So far, so good! We are delighted as the floor now 'works' - it is easy to clean and is effectively the floor which we had always wanted. I would certainly recommend Steve to others, as he is clearly very skilled in his trade. Many thanks, once again.
Fabulous service and excellent result. Our original Victorian tiled floor had been hidden under carpet for some 35 years and was looking very sad, neglected and stained when discovered. Thanks to Steve's meticulous, precise and expertise the floor now looks beautiful and restored to its former glory. One extremely happy customer. Thank you. Thank you. Maria Evans.
Steve took our battered cracked dirty old floor and restored it to its former glory with the kind of care and attention to detail that only comes with a unique combination of expert craftsmanship and an unbridled passion for the job. Superb work. Joe Ainsworth.
Eight years ago I contacted Steve Sinnott to ask for his advice regarding the hall floor in my small Victorian house. The original floor had been completely removed by previous owners, though I did discover some of the tiles in baskets in the cellar. Steve’s kind and informative response together with his clear passion for what he does made me decide there and then that when I was in a position to be able to sort my floor, Steve would be the person I would contact. Finally, eight years later, I was in that position and after much discussion with Steve via e-mails/photos and telephone calls, I made the decision to have a reproduction geometric tiled floor laid. Although a small hall floor, it did provide a number challenges. Undeterred, Steve skilfully created a stunning hall floor. Throughout the whole process, Steve was patient, gave advice and involved me in each stage of the work. Also, because of his attention to detail, he provided suggestions for the thresholds to my dining and sitting room, something I had not given any real thought to. I learned so much from him during the week. Finally, there was never a day when he was not courteous, cheerful, good humoured and passionate about his work. It is a long time since I first contacted Steve, but it has been worth the wait. I now have an impressive floor which will become part of the history of my house. I would have no hesitation in recommending Steve to anyone considering a similar project.Moreexpand_more
25 Kimberley Drive. Liverpool. September 2013. To whom it may concern. Steve Sinnott (Heritage Tiling) installed a replacement tiled floor in the hall of our Edwardian home, the original had been taken out completely some years before we bought the property. He also repaired a smaller area of geometric tiling in the vestibule which had been damaged by the installation of a gas supply c. 1970. The new floor is a fantastic addition to our home and we have no regrets appointing Steve to undertake the work. He provided sound advice regarding the design of the new floor, including the provision of extra details round the door thresholds which it hadn't occurred to us to ask for but which are a great addition. The new floor wasn't an easy project to set-out, the plan of the hall is very irregular and there are few, if any, straight lines and the time and effort Steve put into laying out the design has certainly paid off. The work was carried out with the bare minimum of disruption, on time and to budget and it was always entertaining to chat with Steve at the end of the day. The restoration was skilfully undertaken and the repaired patch is indistinguishable from the original areas. Best Wishes. Mark Adams.Anna Aiston.
Our kitchen red quarry tiled floor was very drab and covered in paint /plaster etc, it was in need of a good clean, we found Heritage Tiling via the website. Steve gave the floor a deep restorative cleaning which produced various shades of red in the tiles not seen before because of the grime. I elected to do the sealing myself, I’m very pleased with the result Jon Beet.
The improvement in my hall, inner hall and cloakroom, since Steve repaired them, is amazing. He went out of his way to make sure that all the tiles which he had to replace were the best possible match and also undertook additional work at no further cost to myself. He worked efficiently and without inconvenience to the household. I am delighted with the result and have no hesitation in recommending him.
Steve laid a reproduction floor in the hall of our edwardian house as well as doing a little light restoration to the vestibule floor. The floor is stunning and a talking point. With the age of the house, the hall walls are not entirely straight anymore but Steve's skills ensured the floor looks straight from all angles. I would highly recommend Heritage and Steve. Even if he can talk the hind leg off the proverbial donkey! :).
Steve came highly recommended and we weren't disappointed. We can't recommend Steve and his team highly enough. Fantastic job that will last generations. Many thanks !
