We were in need of help to sell my late father’s property in Bulgaria but had no idea if it could be done or where to even begin. I used the company's conveyance service when selling my apartment in Bulgaria. Overall, reasonably content with the service provided. Initial contact responses were very clear, timely and informative. I felt communication could have been better at times during the sale process, particularly breakdown of costs associated with document notarisation and translation. An urgent request for payment of funds, with no notice was a bit disconcerting, having had no contact for several weeks. Fortunately, I had sufficient funds to pay and the deal went through without delay. I would have appreciated an explanation of the cost breakdown for the bank transfer before it went through.

A very complex and lengthy case involving the Estate (property and money in UK and Bulgaria) of my late Bulgarian stepmother. Re Bulgaria - Bulgarian heirs (initially reluctant) to be traced, death registered, pensions to be stopped, bank accounts to be 'freed', property to be sold, monies to be distributed in Bulgaria and UK. I cannot speak highly enough of J&S, the UK paperwork was complicated enough, the Bulgarian system impossible/bewildering. Then C-19 shut everything down for a while. Thanks to J&S all was sorted. I was kept up to date with developments, given excellent advice and could discuss the ins and outs of complex issues immediately on the phone. I will be eternally grateful and hopefully one day look back at my first time as an Executor and laugh! My mother and I approached Mrs. Jones to help us with the sale of my mother's property in Bulgaria this Summer 2016. A buyer had made an offer in Bulgaria and we were allocated with the local estate agent's lawyer to deal with the matter. We however, felt that we wanted to appoint our own solicitor so that we could choose someone entirely ourselves and distanced from the matter. We also needed someone working in London so that my mother could receive documents quickly and efficiently via the post as she is not the most comfortable dealing with electronic files. Mrs. Jones was exactly the lady we needed. She was at all times fully understanding of my mother's needs and posted everything directly whilst keeping me informed via email throughout the process. The sale became a rather tricky one as we entered into the process. It was far from a typical standard sale due to Bulgarian law recognising my late-father as part owner (despite his name never appearing on title deeds) - we were soon to learn a lot about Bulgarian state law and Mrs. Jones took us through the intricacies with great care, attention and total efficiency. On top of this, the buyer and agent in Bulgaria were particularly keen to keep the sale time extremely short and despite the very tight timelines, Mrs. Jones guided us through keeping the sale moving along constantly. During this time we received a lot of pressure from the local estate agent urging us to switch to their own solicitor and I'm truly glad we did not. Every decision Mrs. Jones made was clearly only beneficial to us and she never hurried us at the expense of us becoming at risk at any point and this was hugely comforting at a time when things could be quite confusing and pressured. Being a native Bulgarian, Mrs. Jones advised us very clearly on the pit-falls of money transfer via the Bulgarian banks and gave us clear information at all times allowing us to take our own decisions with the right knowledge in hand. She was at the signing of the sale of my mother's property in person in Bulgaria and stood over the bank staff watching the money go through and ensuring everything was stamped and officially documented. Such care and attention was a huge reassurance to us and the money from the sale was delivered into my mother's UK bank account on the same day it had been transferred.
