With over 20 years experience in the hair and make-up industry, Melinda from Makeovers by Melinda provides a Mobile Hairstyling and Make-up service for Weddings, Proms and all Special Occasions to customers throughout the local area. Melinda is also a specialist in Make-up Lessons for all ages and offers skincare advice too.
In 2016 Melinda introduced a Health side to her business and teaches people how to use essential oils for Wellness which is proving very popular whether it is a group or a one to one. Melinda also teaches workshops and has a Health Scanner to give you a report that she can help you make a wellness plan with.
Set-up in 2000, the business is based in Hedge End (Southampton).
The organisation supplies a bespoke service that is tailored to requirements of the individual, a consultation is recommended to discuss these requirements. The service provides all products, making it perfect for clients who do not have a wide range themselves.
The service is suitable for Weddings, Proms and other Special Occasions.
Make-up Lessons and Makeover Parties are also available. Melinda has a 'purpose built' Makeover Studio with perfect lighting for Trials and Make-up Lessons. Selected Beauty Treatments are available such as Brow Shaping and Eyebrow and Lash tints, Facials and Skin care advice and Aromatouch Massage. Melinda also offers a selection of products to purchase.
Melinda believes 'When you feel good you look great' so Health and Wellness has become a part of Melinda's business since 2016 when she started looking into taking better care of her body more naturally Melinda came across doTERRA (which means Gift of the Earth in Latin) Essential Oils and products and fell in love with them and the company. Melinda loved them so much she began to tell her family, friends and clients about them because they worked so well and are amazing because they help with mental, emotional and physical issues.
Melinda began teaching classes and helping people with their health and wellness, she has since invested in an Itovi Scanner which works abit like a fit bit and takes a reading of your body to give you a report of oils and supplements for helping you make a wellness plan with Melinda's help.

I booked Melinda to do a make-up lesson for my mother and I for my mother's birthday. Melinda called to confirm the appointment, and asked what I wanted. On the night she was very friendly and so nice and kind to both my mother and I. She gave us both loads of tips on how to apply make-up and gave my mother some really good ideas about different colours that would be suitable for her. In essence she made it a really special night for my mother who enjoyed it enormously and who looked stunning at the end.

Melinda did my hair and make up for my wedding. I had a trial a month before the date when I decided that everything looked great! I had no real idea's about what I wanted but Melinda was able to try a few styles and I chose the one that looked best. Melinda was a great help on my wedding day including fitting me into my dress at the very last minute (literally) when my mum seemed to fall apart and loose all common sense! A fabulously friendly lady who will go out of her way to help you. Highly recommend!
