Mickey and Miguel built stained polished and installed a unit in my lounge and fitted shelves. They are amazingly gifted people and such lovely characters. The work is perfect and looks a treat. The finish is exactly what I wanted. The shelves are strong and the unit does the job I wanted it too. Very trust worthy good humoured professional knowledgeable people who can be left alone to work without a shadow of worry as they take pride in what they do and want to achieve the best possible finish. They work very hard and don't stop. You will also be impressed as I am if you use this company.

We had large Victorian Dining table that was damaged and bleached by the sun. They not only restored the table so that one could no longer see the damage or the effects of the sun but also revealed the wonderful original colour of the wood. The work was done swiftly and they were very accommodating in transporting the table to a new location outside London. They are nice people to do business with and I would do so again without hesitation when I have another piece of furniture that needs restoring.

Miguel and his son attended my home and fitted underlay and flooring throughout the ground floor including 4 rooms and shower room. They dealt with tricky thresholds and the cupboard under the stairs. It looks completely seamless and I'm a perfectionist. They completed the job in 2 half days due to glue needing to dry overnight. They were very punctual and quite charming. Will definitely be using their services again as their prices are great for the work they do.

I recently hired Michenuels to sand/varnish/refurb the majority of the floorboards in my home. The rooms are now transformed. The finish is excellent, as was the service, happily accomodating my request to come back and touch up several newer boards to help them blend in better with the rest of the floor. I have already referred to friends and family and would definitely recommend their services to users of this website.

Im a landlord and have a property in central London. The tenant moved out recently and virtually destroyed the finish on a good quality pine chest of drawers by cleaning it with acetone. Miguel came round when he said he would, collected the piece of furniture and brought it back a few days later looking better than new. No fuss, no dramas and at a reasonable cost.

I believe that quality workmanship is not cheap; generally you get what you pay for. Miguel transformed my teak dining table. I did not even know that it was teak, just a sad-looking wood table. Yet it was of a good size and sturdy and had been in my home for years. The cost of purchasing a new oak/wood (not veneer) dining table of a similar size was prohibitive. When Miguel came to see it in its original state and said it would look stunning when restored, I was a little doubtful. However, I am very pleased and won't be covering it up out of embarrassment but will (and have) show it off. I would recommend Michenuels.

Miguel's service is exemplary. Initially I asked him to quote on the reconstruction of an antique desk, which he came to see in person. During the reconstruction he sent regular updates and photographs to ensure I was kept informed of progress. The desk is reconditioned, in a better state than before. He has undertaken further shelving work in the house, which he has completed far more creatively than I would have expected (gaps for cables, etc). He epitomizes all that professionals should be: polite, courteous, truthful and efficient. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Stunning results! I have a 1930's built house with original flooring that has seen better days. Miguel needed to match the old flooring with a new piece made to measure and polished to even out the colour. My ordinary looking house has been transformed into a stunning hallway. As for 'value for money' paying for good quality craftsmanship is to be expected. I was not disappointed. The guys at Michenuels did a great job polishing my floors. I have a 1920-30's terrace and the natural pine floors had not been polished or maintained since the house was built, therefore the floor boards were in rather poor condition. Michenuels sanded back the floors, filled in all the gaps between the boards and holes in the wood, and repaired loose boards. Once this was completed they polished and applied a pine finish which really brought out the natural texture of the wood. The guys respected my house, they were punctual and polite and displayed care for the detail and were good to deal with. I had confidence from beginning to end using Michenues and strongly recommend their service to anyone thinking about having their floors restored. Great job great service and worth the money.

We have a large (2m x 1m) low Asian table which, over the years, had gained a number of white water stains/blooming on the surface which spoiled the look. Miguel took the table top away and stripped the surface, refilled the grain, re-coloured the wood to match and re-lacquered the surface by spraying. After an unsatisfactory first attempt, he willingly took the table back for another attempt, after which he returned it in perfect restored condition, all within a week or two. Also, he stuck to his price estimate even though it clearly took him longer than he'd estimated it would. We are very pleased with the result and would happily recommend him. See the photo.

Miguel has restored several pieces of furniture for us over the last few years. He is an absolute gentleman and a superb craftsman. He also very happy to dispense plenty of free advice and, unlike many businesses, often suggests that he does less rather than more work, making you feel like he genuinely has the customer's best interests at heart.

I recently employed this company to repair damage to a new wooden floor caused by a builder dropping a scaffolding board. I was uncertain whether or not it could be repaired but Miguel was confident he could do it and he was right. The result is a very high quality repair and I am very pleased with the work. In fact I ask people to point out where they think the repair was made and no one has got it right yet! Would highly recommend.

My wife and I used Michenuels on three occasions and cannot recommend his work more highly. He french polished our antique wardrobe and repaired our bed's woodframe rapidly and with great craftsmanship.
