Paul Gunning Plastering and Building

I have been meaning to leave Paul a review for months. I cannot recommend him and his services enough. Paul replastered and skimmed our whole property following as part of a refurbishment and the quality is absolutely exceptional. I actually didn't realise that plastering could look so good and people have even commented on the quality when visiting (again who knew that was a thing). Paul made good clear suggestions for problem areas and couldn't have been better to deal with. Before the job he even organised for us to visit a property he had recently completed to inspect the quality of his work. During the job Paul was a real driving force to getting stuff finished, he chased the other trades for us to ensure it was all on time. I really cannot recommend Paul enough. Excellent.

Paul Gunning Plastering and Building installed new pebbledash on our property. From the first time we spoke to them Paul and his team were full of ideas of how we could achieve a vastly improved appearance to our house and providing us with the options. Once the process begun they worked tirelessly to ensure prompt completion but with the highest quality and attention to detail. On completion it looked like a new home! We would not hesitate to recommend their work.

My Edwardian house has suffered from damp problems under the bay window on the upper floor, for years. I have had so many attempts, by so many builders to remedy the problem, I can’t tell you. Paul Gunning and a damp specialist colleague of his have made an informed diagnosis, removed the render ( I think that’s what it’s called) and replaced the old, cracked stuff ( who knew ? It was painted). It now looks fantastic and in keeping with the age and design of the house, whilst benefiting from modern materials. It’s in the process of drying out and signs are that this problem has been solved. Importantly to me, Paul and his team were unfailingly courteous and considerate and a pleasure to have around. I would recommend him, without question.

Used Paul for a good few years now to plaster and render my house renovations would definitely recommend 100% 5 star work all the time.

Two great jobs. Replastered main bedroom and lounge. A very tidy completion, exceptional finish with minimal mess. Another trade damaged the plastering work once it was completed and Paul returned- free of charge and promptly- to immediately rectify the problem.

Completing the garage conversion was completely painless with Paul; all potential problems were anticipated and resolved before they became issues and he consistently kept us informed of developments. Very pleased with the work Paul has done for us over the years - 2 ceilings skimmed and a hall ceiling repair. Work done promptly to very high standard. Very honest, reliable and trustworthy. Minimum disruption and extremely tidy worker. Highly recommended. Would definitely use again.

Paul "patched up" our rendering on a three story property. When he removed the old stuff the job wasn't as big as he had estimated so he adjusted the price accordingly. I was very impressed with his work, punctuality and general work ethic. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Repairing and plastering of bedroom ceiling. Paul did an excellent job. He was punctual and got the job done in good time. He cleaned up afterwards as well. We were very pleased with his work.

Had Paul round to fit some lintels, fit a new door way and close of the old ones. He did all this as well as a damp course and a re-plaster of the two rooms. We were a bit sceptical about the scale of the job but were completely put at ease by Paul who had obviously done these things plenty of times before. He has transformed our home! Work was super clean, tidy and fast. Felt confident in our choice and don't regret it one bit. We would recommend to any friend or family and already have. 100% pleased!

Hired Paul for a couple of jobs and he was prompt, efficient and highly professional. The finished walls are fantastic and were completed in a very timely manner. Paul was friendly, flexible and delivered an excellent service. He also managed to help us out with a variety of different issues in our house. Highly recommended.

When inviting someone into your home to do work, it is important to feel that they are both trustworthy and competent. From our first meeting, we felt like we were in safe hands and now that the job has been done, we are more than happy with the results. Excellent.

We were delighted with the plastering Paul did on our living room ceiling and walls, finish was like glass to touch and left room clean and tidy. Would recommend 100% and I wouldn't hesitate to use again for other work.

Really pleased with the work carried out by Paul. We had the walls of two rooms skimmed, plastered over an old artexed ceiling and a fireplace blocked and plastered. The work only took a couple of days and the rooms (and the rest of the house) were left tidy and virtually dust free. Great price too and will definitely be contacting Paul for any future work needed. Paul was recommended to us and we would certainly recommend him to others.
