I’m finally writing this review as it seems this company is still in business and doesn’t deserve to be. We used Perfect Conservatories in October 2020. The salesman, Paul was very pleasant and we liked the idea of the wooden rafters rather than aluminium. But from the moment the 1st team of workmen you could ever imagine turned up, for what was supposed to be only a 3 to 4 day job, the whole thing became a horrible nightmare which lasted for over 3 months. We finally got the job done to a satisfactory level but this was because we were constantly emailing and sending photos and threatening to take the matter further. We even had to find our own plasterer at the end as the one they sent to do the job refused. Perfect Conservatories did not vet their sub contractors and did not believe us as to how bad the workmanship was until we sent them our photos and said we would take the matter further. We still have not received the ‘Warmer Roof’ Building Regs Certificate that was promised.
IF YOU VALUE YOUR SLEEP, YOUR MONEY AND YOUR SANITY AVOID THIS COMPANY. Like many others, they took my money, they did not complete the work, they used their children as an excuse over a dozen times as to why the project would not be completed. They are rude, they lie, this is a HUGE SCAM. Sam, Andy, Jane, Amy Mark, Chris and Fiona are all a complete joke and I fail to understand how they sleep at night! They should be ashamed of themselves. They are all clearly trained in tactics to avoid customers once you pay. None of the sub contractors we spoke to had a good word to say which started to create alarm bells. Its border line fraud. They took down a lantern from a flat roof and replaced it with a board for 6 months and never returned to install the new one I paid several thousand pounds for. They were expelled by HICS for not registering work. We have informed our bank, we have informed trading standards and reported them to HMRC who will no doubt have a field day with these people! You have been warned!Moreexpand_more
Attention all, steer clear of this "Rogue Traders" company. They use sub contract Jack of All Trades cowboys with no supervisor to check their work. We had a Velux window fitted incorrectly and condemned by Velux so not covered by their warranty. The tiling and lapping was so poor, patched up with sealant, it leaked the first time it rained. The Building Regulations Certificate promised is not forthcoming either, they don't even register the work with Building Control. Customer service and loyalty is not on this companies agenda, do their promises of 10 year warranty is very dodgy indeed. The worst company we've experienced.
**EDIT** ITS NOW 13th OCTOBER AND STILL NO MONEY. THEYVE NOT ENGAGED WITH ANY OF LETTERS FROM OUR SOLICITOR. Utterly appalling company-AVOID! Paid our deposit in Sept 2020 with an installation date of November. THREE times the installation date was delayed with almost zero communication and only responses after many emails and calls from us. They then agreed to repay our deposit at the end of April within 14 days and it’s now the 17th June with nothing. We’ve now employed a solicitor to get some money back. A very very stressful period but the silver lining is that we didn’t actually get any work done by them as they are absolute cowboys and other people’s experiences with the final work (if they ever get it) is absolutely awful.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! This company is a ROGUE TRADER. DO not accept their low prices under any circumstance. What they are going to do is take your 30% deposit then never see you again. I agreed an installation date, paid a deposit and expected a new roof on my conservatory. They gave excuse after excuse and didn't turn up to not one, not two, but THREE installation appointments. They ignore emails and calls and refuse to refund any money with pathetic excuses. Full list of names to avoid as follows:Mark Willis - Salesman. Samantha - Installation team.Jayne Green - Installation team.Chris Constantine - Owner and director.Moreexpand_more
A warm roof installation that started in August 2020, should have taken 3 days, has finally been completed March 2021. After first installation, roof was condemned as dangerous and not fit for purpose. It took the ombudsman’s intervention to get Perfect Conservatories to act. We had broken windows, rubbish from roof left in garden, Still rectifying poor plastering. Lights incorrectly fitted as well as the dangerous roof due to poor workmanship. The communication from this company was appalling, Nothing but stress and inconvenience, Wish we had never heard of this firm.
Have had a new roof fitted tiled no pressure fromsalesman paul made a great diffrence from victorian plastic roof to gable end made the conservatory look a lot bigger very impressed a small problem with leak but sorted out within a couple of days very good customer service from betina and andy and mark the service man just waiting for completion cercificate from jhai building inspectors I think this worth paying for to save any problems if you move house with solicitors can highly recommend company and all the staff.
My first dealings with Perfect Conservatories were fantastic. Having had quotations from 2 other companies, we decided to go with Perfect Conservatories because they were very professional and gave us the best advice based on our needs. The process was very smooth from start to finish. The installation itself went fantastic. The team arrived promptly every day. They were very polite and efficient. Once the installation was complete, they cleaned up and it was like they were never here. The end result is amazing, and we now have a extra living space that we can use everyday. We are very happy with our decision to go with Perfect Conservatories.Moreexpand_more
A job which was started on the 19th October and was supposed to take a few days, is still not completed to a satisfactory condition and has been littered with problems and distress for us. We now have a fourth leak where water is pooling over the box gutter join. The issues we have encountered with this company include but are not limited too; wrong colour tiles being delivered, roof measured wrong and not fitting and having to be re-built, damage to the internal of our conservatory and windowsill due to exposure to the elements, conservatory door keys lost by contractors needing a complete lock replacement, box gutter adaptor missing for over a week causing a leak, 3 more separate leaks where another part of the box gutter has not been sealed, a build-up of condensation under the plaster due to there not being enough breathing space in the roof, poor plaster work with a continuous gap between the ceiling and walls which then needed to be redone, lots of excess plaster on our feature brick wall which cannot be removed, an electrical wire disconnected meaning one of our sockets stopped working, numerous calls to the company in which we were not been able to get hold of them or have been promised calls backs which we haven’t had or where they have said they would send work men who have never shown up, asking for their complaints procedure twice but never receiving it, a hole in one of our floor tiles, our internal door needing to be cut as it wouldn’t open due to the plaster being too low. This company relies heavily on subcontractors to the detriment of their customers. Our experience with them has been stressful and miserable and is still not over. Avoid at all cost!
This company is awful. They took my deposit and started passing me around from one sub contractors to another to do a substandard work on my conservatory Insulation. I refuse to accept it and they are being funny with refunding my deposit which I have reported to my credit card company. What a disgraceful way to treat a customer, and I will take it further. Will not recommend to anyone to go through this too.
Would not recommend this company. I am owed a refund which they claimed to have done but then admitted have not. If that’s the way they treat customers I certainly would not trust them to do a good job. My credit card company are on to it and because of the incorrect way they have acted we may take other action. Funny how they are still offering quotes in the current climate but not processing refunds and even claiming they have to obviously stall for time to keep hold of my money. Awful service !
