I find Claire Roberts and all her colleagues to be excellent instructors- explaining every exercise and constantly checking to see if it is being executed correctly- I have had 2 knee replacements and my recovery has certainly been aided by having done pilates for the last 3-4 years. There is always a substitute exercise for me as I am unable to kneel! I would highly recommend Power Of Pilates to everyone! Thankyou Claire!
I was new to the area and wanted to get back into Pilates so searched on line and THANKFULLY found Power of Pilates! From the look of the website I thought it was going to be professional and from my first conversation with Claire I knew it would that and fun and good for me and I have not been disappointed! I have been SUPER impressed! As a runner and triathlon I put my body through a lot but I love Claire's classes because she puts us through our paces clearly and precisely explaining exercises and telling those of us with injuries to do make adjustments - she is UBER aware of everyone' s areas for special attention - my glutes love/hate her because she has made them work. ! I have been really impressed at how I can now do exercises I really didn't think I would ever be able to do ie rollups. Claire's clever way of explaining things and building up to exercises is really good! And the best bit. Its a fun class - professional but smiley and happy! I couldn't recommend it more!
I started going to Pilates after having a baby wanting to get back to my old fitness and shape, as well get out and see other people during the day. I joined a Baby and mother pilates class that Claire had just started on the recommendation of a friend with a baby the same age as mine. This was almost three years ago and I did not just got my old shape back quickly - I feel stronger, more flexible and am a dress size smaller. It beats going to the gym which I had been doing for years! I started the normal mat Pilates classes after a while and now do a combination of a 3-1 equipment classes and a mat class every week, which is targeting different areas and keep challenging me to develop and improve continuously. Claire is an excellent instructor taking an interest in your goals and possible issues, making exercising in the studio fun and worth while.
I was recommended to start doing pilates after surgery and I have now been attending Power of Pilates classes for nearly 2 years. I thoroughly enjoy every class and the overall improvement to my health, fitness & well being has been really rewarding. The Teachers are more than helpful and really help you to achieve your best, I love it so much that I also started Equipment Classes about 6 months ago which has made such a difference to my strength and ability and helps me to improve on my technique. I was told I had to build up my core strength and PoP definitely has & will help you to do just that. Attending these classes has inspired me to hopefully one day become an Instructor myself.
I started going to classes with Claire over two years ago and have since recommended her classes to multiple colleagues / friends. Claire is very focused on each individual and has a good understanding of what each person wants to achieve from the classes. All exercises are explained and demonstrated clearly and Claire ensures everyone fully understands how to do each exercise. I started Pilates to help maintain my fitness levels and to help to reduce the number of injuries I sustained from running and cycling. Power of Pilates has most definitely helped me as I have not had any injuries from running / cycling since attending classes at Power of Pilates.
I've been going to Power of Pilates classes for 3 years and now attend the RAW class which is a more challenging session but still very focused on good technique and helps to stretch me out after a long day at my computer! The instructors are very good at tailoring each exercise for you if you have an injury, the classes are friendly and not too large, and the studio is a very nice modern environment.
I was recommended to PoP by a female friend following a footballing injury to my back. Being male I was sceptical, but willing to try anything to resolve the issue, and I am so glad that I did! Claire, my instructor, spoke to my physio and together they have helped me get back on the pitch, stronger than before. I still attend classes, and will continue to as the benefit is continuous, as well as enjoying the informal atmosphere of the classes.
