I used Paul for a 19-apartment block, a 8-apartment block and for smaller jobs when required (walls, ground works, roofing, etc. ) The service has always been good along with reliable, good quality work that represents good value for money. Paul's technical knowledge spans the full construction sector and his adaptability and flexibility are appreciated. For large projects, Paul was happy to accept Works packages and the interface with other contractors was always good. On smaller projects, he offers a turn-key solution with no fuss.
We found Paul from Priory Builders when our 'recommended' builder let us down last minute. Paul answered my desperate phone call after a Google search. He was honest and realistic with us from the start. We always felt that he was as interested as we were in project and his suggestions were always well considered and offered as a means of improving our design. He researched, in his own time, our roof tiles and found us some reclaimed ones that not only proved a better match with our existing roof but also saved us a fortune. Paul dealt very professionally with other outside agencies such as waste disposal and suppliers and negotiated to our benefit when appropriate. Paul continually updated us on material costs keeping us in the loop for the overall budget. The build started in the middle of December meaning that all the rain and snow was worked through and it really was. Paul and his team only took four days off at Christmas throughout the entire project. In the end Paul was our friend because we always felt he had our best interests at heart. He helped us find an electrician, plumber and joiner in line with our budget. He liaised with all the tradesmen when we were at work. Paul's building work is of very high standard and was consistently commented on by other tradesmen when they visited, he clearly loves what he does is and will not leave things if they aren't right; he is something of a perfectionist and this is evident in the quality of his building. Other architects have since been to see Paul's work and have praised the house and the workmanship; even recommending him to their clients. Paul didn't just copy the architects drawing he came to us with better suggestions as the build progressed. Although, like most projects, the build went over time and budget, this was mainly due to the unforeseen circumstances beyond the builders control. However, nothing came as a total surprise as Paul was always ahead of the game and warned us well in advance of any obstacles that needed to be overcome and adaptations needing to be made. He transformed our 3 bed house to 4 with an en-suite and created a large living area downstairs including side and back extension. We simply love our new house and feel we were blessed with finding Paul as our builder and adviser. We cannot recommend Paul's work enough. Feel free to ask Paul for my contact details should you wish to discuss further or come and see the work he has done.Moreexpand_more
I used Paul for two tricky jobs: first, to correct a damp patch under the corners of my roof; second, to rip out, design and fit a new walk in wardrobe in my main bedroom. Both jobs were completed on time and to a high specification. The different steps on the process were fully explained to me and Paul and his team were friendly. They put in the required hours to get the jobs done efficiently. I am delighted with the results.
I used Priory Building Services based on a recommendation. Having had a bad experience previously with another contractor I wanted to ensure that I could expect a good quality finish and I was not disappointed. Paul and his team worked on both my lounge and kitchen - unblocking the fireplaces, restoring the ceilings and re-plastering. I was at work whilst the work was being carried out so appreciated the regular updates from Paul. The work came in on quote and everything was left clean and tidy afterwards.
I used Priory Building Services to dig up and relay two large patios and pathways to the front and back of my house in Beeston. The quote was competitive and, when the job began, I was kept fully informed of what work was being carried out and when. Paul discussed all options with me and provided a good selection of materials to choose from. We decided on block paving and the results have been top class. During these extensive works the builders made it as pain-free as possible. They kept the sites as clean as they could, and respected the house and garden. All in, we are delighted with the results and would certainly recommend this company.
We recently hired Paul to take down and rebuild a failing garden wall, and we are very pleased with his work. Paul arrived on time and completed the work quickly and with minimum hassle, the wall looks great. We would recommend Paul and are planning to use his services again.
I picked Paul's company out of the Yellow Pages so it could be seen as a bit of a gamble. He was, however, excellent. He worked very hard in some pretty bleak weather and took a real pride in ensuring the job was as professional as possible. He gave me regular updates and didn't let me down at all. I'd be happy to ask him to do more work in the future.
I've used Priory Building Services for a couple of jobs on my property and have been pleased with all the work done. The first job was to repair and recast some concrete windowsills and seal up a bay window that was leaking through into the living room. Paul gave me several different options on this job and advised me on the best course of action. The work was completed over a couple of weekends and I'm really pleased with the service and results. This job also included some plaster repair work to the interior which was done to a good standard as well, with Paul coming back a week or so later to check the previously damp wall was drying out properly. The second job was to repair the Terylene rendering on the front of my house and to replace some rotten timber/fascia boards. Again this was done over a couple of weekends and the finished job has transformed the front of the house from looking a bit tired and shabby to looking one of the best on the street. I'm about to use Priory Building Services to do some more plastering inside the house and would definitely recommend them. Paul always turns up when he says he will and seems to know what he's talking about, and if he doesn't he knows someone who does and will get them down to give advice.Moreexpand_more
