Great work again from Fence and Fix! We needed a new garden fence at the front and front sides of our driveway. So I contacted Simon without hesitation, as he'd done an excellent job for us before at the back of the house, replacing the fence there. Although it was just before Christmas, Simon was able to complete the works on time at this very busy period of the year for him and did a fantastic job. There were some tricky parts where huge tree roots and a buried wall got in the way but Simon cleverly worked around this and found a solution. Despite horribly cold weather, he and Graham worked hard and just got on with things without any hassle. I'm really pleased with the result and friends and family have already commented on how much better the new fence looks compared to the old one. Simon always seems to understand exactly what we want and does a first rate job. After Storm Doris removed our back fence and snapped the posts, Simon came round to assess and quote for the work. Carried out the job efficiently, as quoted and completed the work in quick time. Thoroughly recommended.

We wanted to put a fence next to our neighbours existing wire and concrete post fence for greater privacy between our gardens. As this boundary is south facing I wanted trellis but Simon suggested close board fencing topped with trellis and he was absolutely right. He has done a great job and his advice was spot on, we still get a lot of sun in our garden but with much greater privacy, I'm very glad we took his advice, he knows his stuff! My friend recommended Fence and Fix to us after Simon replaced their fence and I would happily recommend him to anyone who wants an excellent job at a fair price.

Simon has just finished replacing my garden fencing (including the posts), and installing a secure wooden gate at the back. The quality of his work was excellent, as is the quality of the timber he used. His fencing is so much more robust than what I had before, and it looks great. It's actually really exceeded my expectations. Simon did the job quickly, and he's nice to deal with: reassuring, completely reliable, and kind. I am so pleased, and my neighbour on the other side of the fence is also delighted.

Excellent personal service. My new 50+ metre chain link fence has been completed to a high standard and within the budget quoted. It has a one-off modification suggested by Simon which hopefully will stop the muntjac getting in the garden and eating the tops off my roses. The job proved a little more difficult than either of us originally anticipated but the job has been completed very neatly although with an unavoidable delay.

Installed a 30m run of closed-board panel fencing with concrete posts and gravel boards. The work was carried out on time, on budget and to a very high standard. On top of that Simon is a delight to deal with and we would have no hesitation in recommending him. We will certainly use him again.

Our back fence blew down in a wind storm, so we asked Simon Gibson to assess the damage and give us an estimate. He said the wood was sound and only needed concrete supports, and told us when he could do the work. He and Graham turned up as promised and carried out the repairs efficiently and unobtrusively. We are very pleased with the result and intend to use Simon's services again, as well as recommending him to others. In addition to being efficient and friendly, he's very knowledgeable about many aspects of gardening.

Simon has just replaced a 13-metre section of our boundary fence. It was done with a featherboard finish rather than panels, which requires more skill (as well as being more labour-intensive), and the finished fence is absolutely fantastic. We had to wait a little while to get the job done, but this was partly due to Simon working hard to ensure not only that the wood for the fence matched a section on the opposite boundary, but also that the timber he sourced was of a sufficiently high quality. It was definitely worth the wait! The work was completed over 1. 5 days – partly in terrible weather – and a top rail has even been added to the opposite boundary fence (for no extra charge) so both sections now match. The garden now looks much smarter and we couldn't be happier with the result. Simon is a cheerful worker, which makes all the difference, and we recommend him and his work highly!

THe job Mr Gibson has done is very good and very professional, he completed the job well before his intended time and the fence looks better than new. He also did some extra work which has helped me out a great deal.

Simon removed an old rotten front garden fence and side gate and replaced them. The work done was excellent and any problems were handled calmly and with professionalism. The work was done with thoughtfulness and consideration and excellent attention to detail. Simon was easy to get on with and a very likeable character. We were very happy with the finished product and the tidiness of Simon's work.

Simon was very easy to communicate with regarding the work. We are very happy with the repair of our fence and would recommend him to others or have him back if we required further work.

The fence was collapsing, due to rotten posts. I contacted Simon after reading the reviews on line, and he came round the very next day and fixed it both expertly and quickly there and then. He was sensitive to the ecology of the garden and it was lovely that he was able to draw my attention to a squirrel purposefully moving its young across the lawn. Free of charge, he fixed two gates as well. I would wholeheartedly recommend Simon as a skilled and expert fencer, not least because he explained the process so carefully beforehand.

Simon carried out the replacement of a post-and-board boundary fence in February 2016. It was a difficult job as the fence was at the top of a sloping bank next to a watercourse. Simon visited promptly to measure up and then offered a competitive price. He installed new concrete posts into the ground and bolted new timber fence posts to them. Simon was pleasant to deal with throughout and the work was completed to a high standard.

Replacement of a section of Close Boarded Fence 8 metres by 1. 8 metres high. The work was carried out meticulously and with great care despite some difficult issues with placing the upright posts. We are very pleased with the results. Although the job took longer than was anticipated the Invoiced sum was the same as the initial estimate. We would recommend using Simon Gibson for fencing work.

I had five fence posts that had broken and the entire fence was in danger of collapse after recent high winds, e:mailed Simon based on reviews I had read and his close proximity to my property. Simon got back to me the next morning, reviewed the job on site and submitted a very reasonable price. Arrived promptly the next morning and the work was completed as agreed within three hours. Found Simon to be very pleasant, knowledgeable and transparent(no hidden extras or nasty surprises). Based on my experience I would confidently recommend Simon to anyone requiring similar works to be undertaken.
