Booked in last minute for an appointment due to pincer nails that I've been seeeing a different podiatrist for but not seeing any improvements. Michael came and explained why I kept having these issues and sorted them no problem. Would definitely recommend and as an added spines got entertained for an hour .
What can I say other than amazing! I have never used such a service before but after having a pain in my heel for months I decided to give it a go. Wow- diagnosed me in minutes, dealt with my issue and now I’m pain free! I’d highly recommend! Michael came to my place of work, was polite and very professional.
Michael has worked his magic on my feet for many years and has given me great advice on all sorts of problems that I have regarding my feet, I would not go to anyone else as in my opinion he is the best Podiatrist that I have encountered. His service is both professional and personal to your needs. Plus he is such a lovely person which is a bonus. I have been back and forward to the Doctors since the end of December, I have seen 2 nurses who both said I had Tendonitis in the foot so have been on meds for the last 2 months. Michael adviced me that I needed an xray and a scan, whilst still waiting for a scan the xray showed that I have a broken foot so I am now waiting to be seen at the Fracture clinic. Without Michael's advice this would have gone unnoticed. So a big thank you Michael as you obviously know more than the nurses did….
My daughter ruptured her tendons and could not walk and that is how we met Mr Franklin. Mr Franklin is a dedicated expert in feet and has researched about it all his life. He has the tools required and will give you help quickly and efficiently. I couldn’t recommend him enough as he gave me a lot of advice for my daughter and for me too. He is really kind so do not hesitate to contact him. I am left with a happy walking kid and ways to improve my life as well. So thank you Mr Franklin science has benefited to our soles/souls! And it was lovely to have good discussions.
I went to Michael 18 years ago after suffering with an in grown toenail that I had been told needed to be removed. Michael saved my toenail and any further pain. I couldn’t quite believe it. Having suffered with my feet all my life going to Michael every 6 weeks enabled me to be able to wear heels, start jogging and improve my overall health.
I first met Michael when I needed to replace my orthotics (prescribed insoles) for collapsing arches and my posture. The new orthotics that he provided excelled anything I have had massively in both comfort and weight. I then developed some verrucas and he provided a treatment called Swift (microwave tech) which was completely painless and quick and made all of them go away, it was also much cheaper and more time efficient than all the other different options that work. He is full of fun anecdotes and tips like how to lace your shoes properly which really helps your posture and makes your shoes much more comfortable to wear. Out of all the podiatrists I have seen he is definitely the best and worth coming to see. I would certainly recommend him to all ages!
Apart from routine, regular care of my feet i. E. Nail cutting, hard skin and corn removal I now have orthotics to support my arches which means that my feet no longer ache. I have been prescribed gel soles which help protect and soothe my heels and moulds were individually made to compensate for irregularities in my toes. Michael's skills and knowledge have kept my feet so comfortable.
I have been a client of Michael Franklin's practice for about 4 years now. He came highly recommended by a chiropractor friend of mine when I had injured my knees 5 years ago. My feet then were giving me all sorts of problems - bunions, calluses, corns, hammer toes etc. Due to my long distance running and badminton. I had to switch to golf 5 years ago, but that didn't help my feet as I had to wear awkward golf shoes with spikes etc. On the soles! I went to see Michael in 2014 in his Cardiff practice to treat my painful corns and calluses on both feet, which were broad at the front and narrow/slim at the neck of the feet. The transformation to my feet after that one visit couldn't have been more spectacular. He not only treated my feet ailments, but also advised on the type of shoes and insoles for me, and even the method of lacing up shoes. Wonderfully patient, caring and informative, Michael is a true profession in his field. After my first visit in early 2014, I visited Michael again in mid 2016 to order a couple more of the insoles that he had recommended to me for my walking and sports shoes. I had my recent visit today (25 July 2017) in his Newport practice in South Wales to have an M. O. T. On my feet. Although I live in Cardiff, I did not hesitate to go to his practice in Newport to receive his service once again. He provided me with another superlative service with care and professionalism as before - my feet are now 'happy feet' again! I highly recommend Michael Franklin, Soft Soles Podiatry, to anyone who have problems with their feet for a comprehensive, professional and quality service that you will be very satisfied with. I had a 1. 30pm session with you this afternoon. The reason for my email is that I felt and still feel that you mislead me today regarding prices. I spoke on the phone and you said it was £35, then at the end of the session you said I had to pay £84 and changed it to £74. I had no option but to buy the socks as you opened them and gave them to me, I had only asked where they sold them. Non of these added prices were explained, or for that matter asked if I was willing to go ahead with them beforehand. I spent twenty minutes tying shoelaces, and if you had said it was going to cost me £60/hr, I would have opted out of this. I feel let down, disappointed and it has left a sour taste in my mouth. The above email I have sent to Mr Franklin, I will await his response.
Have been going to Franklin's for over 5 years and would not go anywhere else, even though, having moved from Cardiff, I now have to put up with a 2 hours return trip to see him! If you are in Cardiff or nearby and are looking for an exceptional, professional service, offered by a chiropodist with 40 years of experience, then Franklin is your man! And this is not all! After a visit to Franklin's, you will not only have the best feet in town, but would have also benefitted from Franklin's irresistible snippets of wisdom … 100% organic food for the mind and the soul!
Excellent service. I can now walk pain free. Delivery was one week from appointment and invaluable advise given would highly recommend. I have insurance so was able to claim against the cost. Very happy as I'm in retail and on my feet all day. A very happy customer.
I had just taken up dancing again and found it painful owing to a sore ingrowing toenail. Did try to fix it myself but only made things worse. Rang Michael for an appointment, and came out feeling that I was walking on air! Will certainly go back when the nail grows back.
I visited Michael at his Newport practice in November 2012. I had at this time resigned myself to regular chiropody appointments as I had painful corns regularly forming on the soles of my feet. Michael made a thorough investigation and sold me some inserts for my shoes which would redistribute my weight and thus help to alleviate the problem. It is now May 2013 and to date there has been no recurrence of the corns and my feet have been pain free. Thank you Michael.
Mr Franklin provided good quality care and advice, that helped me resolve the difficulty I was having with my weak arches / 'Flat feet'. Michael was very informative giving excellent explanations for the options of treatment. Good professional service. Good value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed the service that Mr Franklin provided and I would definitely recommend him to anyone that is having difficulty with their feet.
Michael Franklin has been looking after my feet for about 15 years now. I have slightly twisted toes and never liked cutting my own toenails - the thought of having someone else do this made me cringe! However I was forced to seek help when I developed a very painful corn on one toe. A colleague suggested Michael and I went along to see him with some trepidation. He removed the corn painlessly, then cut my nails and massaged oil into my feet. He also gave advice as to suitable style of shoes. I have had no more corns, and now quite enjoy having my toenails cut!
