My name is Steve Andrews and I am a fully qualified Department of Transport Driving Instructor (ADI), based in Plymouth, Devon. I am a friendly, professional and experienced instructor who can provide you with the very best driving tuition possible. I currently teach in an almost-new VW Golf at a highly competitive rate and over the last couple of years my pupils have achieved an extremely high pass rate at the DVSA Driving Test (currently above 90% pass first time). As part of the ability to instruct, all driving instructors are continuously monitored and assessed by the Driving Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and all instructors are required to undergo regular enhanced criminal reference checking (DBS), currently every 4 years, as part of the process to remain a licenced instructor.

I have the experience and ability to assist you, whether you are a complete beginner with no driving experience at all, or are preparing for driving test, or perhaps you would like refresher lessons as you have not driven for a while, I am able to help you! I am also able to assist with theory driver training, as well as fleet training and advanced driver training. I have delivered every type of driving lesson to every type of pupil imaginable. For me, nothing is too much trouble and I embrace nervous pupils or clients where English might not be their first language. In addition, I have also taught individuals with a range of disabilities (both learning disabilities and physical disabilities) to achieve their goal of passing the driving test. My experience has helped me realise that every pupil is different and I always offer a variety of lessons that are tailored to your individual needs and requirements.

Learning to drive is a serious financial commitment and I am pleased to offer a comprehensive pricing structure with discounts for lessons purchased as blocks of 10 or 20 hours over the standard hourly price, so that learning to drive is as affordable as possible. I also tailor the lessons to a pupils requirements as some clients will learn faster than others, and some might require revision in core areas of the DVSA curriculum. Some pupils might benefit from more intensive style lessons (perhaps daily or three times a week) for those clients that wish to learn more rapidly, but I personally recommend a weekly lesson for people who have school, childcare or work commitments. I can tailor the lessons to your individual requirements, whether that is morning, afternoon or evening lessons, or at the weekends.
