We cannot praise these guys too much! From initial quotation to completion Ian and his team were professional, polite, tidy and diligent. We were informed at every stage and consulted on any changes to plan or schedule (as often happens on these building projects). This is the first time we used Stoneoaks. We found them online and saw such positive reviews so thought they would be perfect for our new kitchen and flooring project. Ian and the team are fantastic, very thorough and attentive to details. They worked in a timely manner and completed the job to such a high standard, even cleaning and tidy at the end. We are so pleased with our new kitchen and would highly recommend the team.

This is the third time we have used Ian and his team and once again the job was completed to a very professional standard. On this occasion we had a downstairs extension to allow a cloakroom with large entrance porch. The project was completed in a timely manner with the Stoneoaks team always being friendly and thoughtful and ensuring we would be happy as the project went on. We had a number of quotes for this job with their price being very competitive and ensuring a high quality finish.

I have had stoneoaks for a renovation. Prices and quality good. Friendly team and always open to any changes I wanted. Also which I really appreciated was ian advised on work that wasnt required and I felt he gave an honest opinion. The property has since been let out and I had a lot of complements.

We are very pleased with all the work that Ian, Ian and Lee have completed over the last 4 months. They are a friendly, knowledgeable and effective team. There were quite a few elements to our project and Stoneoaks provided a detailed quote and schedule of work which was very helpful in guiding us throughout the project. Some plans had to change as construction of the original house was uncovered (built in the1850s) and these were discussed and agreed before moving forward. We also made some changes and additional requests during the project and these were always met with a friendly 'can do' attitude. At every stage the team helped with advice and suggestions to help us achieve the results we were aiming for. Ian Chown project managed and directed all the work, finding appropriate and skilled tradespeople as and when required. Everyone who came on site were friendly, helpful and professional in providing a quality finish. It took us a few weeks longer to complete but that was because we came in within budget and therefore our contingency fund of 20% could be used to pay for additional work. 1. New flooring throughout, which Lee fitted for us, and 2. Paving the back yard (approx 35 sq mt) which was laid by Ian S. We have ended up with a beautiful and functional Utility Room, a fantastic downstairs Shower Room and a fabulous and spacious new Kitchen. On the recommendation of our son we chose Stoneoaks Developments Ltd. To futurize our 4 bedroomed house. This involved work in every room, bar two, including a double garage to utility room conversion (see attached) and a new bathroom and a kitchen renovation. First impressions count for a lot and Ian ticked all the boxes ie. Friendly, punctual, professional, approachable and very knowledgeable. This supported by an extremely detailed and competitive quotation made the decision easy. Ian and his team were given free run of the house whilst my wife and I went on holiday for 6 weeks during which time we were kept well informed of progress. The job was completed to schedule. Our first reaction on returning home was WOW! What a stunning transformation. There was no question that Stoneoaks were the right team for the job. The quality of the workmanship was of a high standard and the house cleaned throughout. We are very impressed with the quality of work and friendliness of Stoneoaks Developments. They’re not just builders they project managed the materials and subcontractors too, which was a big help to us. We lived in our house during our 5 month project and they were tidy and respectful everyday. Every time plans changed (as they always do in these sized projects) we trusted their knowledge and suggestions, and nothing was too much trouble when we made tweaks along the way. We now have beautiful family home. We’ve already asked them to quote for further works, and would definitely book them again. Highly recommended.

Another great job by Ian and team. This time we had a kitchen 'refresh' with new doors and worktops. We're so happy with it. Ian and Lee were a pleasure to have around. They turned up when agreed and have done a quality job. We will be using Stoneoaks again for future jobs.

Our two storey extension was built on time and within budget. The project management was great, keeping us informed on the progress at every stage. All of the team were highly skilled in their individual trades, and a pleasure to deal with. Each day they left the property tidy. Highly recommend this company.

The Stoneoaks team recently finished a ground floor extension for our home in Whirlow, creating a fantastic open plan space for the new kitchen they installed, dining and sitting area for us to enjoy as a family. Ian, Ian and Craig were a pleasure to have at the house, always polite, cheerful and considerate - including setting us up a makeshift kitchen in our hallway whilst they worked which was a big help! We will miss them! We would have no hesitation in recommending them, or using them again as we hope to do in the future.

Stoneoaks recently completed some work for us removing a load bearing wall to make an open plan downstairs space. Ian and Ian were friendly, helpful, professional and have done a fantastic job - I wouldn’t hesitate to have them back for future projects and cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish service was top notch and everything was explained clearly. They couldn’t have been more helpful - giving advice about flooring, plastering, buildings regs and coving too! Thank you both, we absolutely love our new space!

Stoneoaks have recently completed a renovation project on our property. This has included full re-configuration of the ground floor, converting the garage space, fitting a new kitchen, removal of existing walls and building new walls, installing a supportive beam, creation of an office space (including a pocket door) and utility room, installation of an underfloor heating system, laying of flooring and new windows and doors (including extensive external brickwork). We are really thrilled with everything to do with the project and love our new space. All work has been completed to an exceptional standard and within the timescale agreed at the start of the project. Each evening the property was left clean and tidy, which was important as we needed access to some of the downstairs appliances throughout. Considering this work took place over the school summer holiday period and with two small children I have to say this project was hassle free and I can only thank Stoneoaks for that! This is the third time we have had Stoneoaks work on our property and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to source a reputable builder for any job (big or small).

It can be a lucky dip when finding decent builders. Luckily we found StoneOaks developments by recommendation of a friend who had previously used them a few years ago for a large loft conversion, and rear extension, After meeting Ian at quotation stage my mind was at rest, he's such a nice guy and obviously knows what he's talking about, plus his pricing is fair. For us, the price obviously was a consideration with our budget, but it was also about being comfortable and trusting with the builder. Its a relationship and the communication is a key factor. From start to finish StoneOaks really were so professional on all levels. They respected our house, and all work carried out in a tidy fashion. We had a 2 storey wrap around rear and side extension that really does look fab! Neat brickwork, and top render. Fantastic quality aluminum bi fold doors from diner to patio that we are really grateful Ian recommended going with. The kitchen was maybe one of the highlights, how they just transformed it totally into a wonderful showroom finish, with all the top quality units and integrated appliances. I've also got to say also a big thank you to Chris who removed our old water storage tanks and cylinder, and replaced with an excellent unvented direct hot water cylinder, it really has made a huge difference and actually looks cosmetically pleasing to the eye, even though its positioned out of view. All in all Ian and the StoneOaks team were amazing from start to finish. I would recommend 100%, and they will definitely now always be my go to builders for anything.Moreexpand_more

Stoneoaks carried out a garage conversion for me a few years back, I decided to now have my rear conservatory updated with a new roof / Doors / walls including insulation and new flooring. Once again Ian and Ian carried out the work as expected with there usual eye for detail, also giving me good information on the way. Even Cleaned up Every day. Due to The Lockdown Work had to stop for 8 weeks, but they ensured I was watertight and all tools were removed to keep it tidy for me. As again cannot recommend them enough. Thanks again. Karen.

Stone oaks renovated our downstairs WC, utility room and porch. They also completed the snagging from a previous job done by another builder. They were professional and approachable throughout and always responded quickly to texts and emails - something I've found other builders seem to struggle with! Would highly recommend.
