At the Northern Surgical Clinic, we provide high quality, specialised treatment for abdominal hernias and gall bladder conditions such as gallstones in the North East of England. Mr Aimen Amer is a consultant surgeon experienced in minimally invasive keyhole hernia repair and gallbladder removal surgery.

Mr Aimen Amer is a leading consultant transplant and general surgeon based in Tyne and Wear. He specialises in hernia surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction and gallbladder disease. He privately practises at Spire Washington Hospital thorugh the Northern surgical clinic.

Mr Amer has performed over 400 keyhole gallbladder and hernia repair procedures to date and over 200 abdominal transplantation procedures. He has been awarded an MBChB, PhD and MSc as well as a PGCert and FRCS.

Mr Aimen Amer is actively involved in clinical research with over 15 peer-reviewed published articles in his field and over 50 presentations in national and international specialist meetings. Mr Amer is a current member of the British and European Hernia Societies and the British Transplantation Society.
