About The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy
Founded in 2003, The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy has 20 years experience in the Hypnotherapy Training sector, and provides professional, highly accredited hypnotherapy training to individuals throughout the UK and all over the world.
The UK College specialises in Hypno-CBT®: evidence-based integration of modern hypnosis with cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness/meditation.
The Hypno-CBT® Diploma training programme leads to two possible externally verified qualifications:
A Level 4 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy or a Level 5 Higher Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.
Both qualifications are "customised qualifications" that were designed in collaboration with NCFE, a government regulated national awarding organisation.
The diploma training programme and the qualifications are full practitioner training programmes that equip candidates to become professional accredited hypnotherapists.
The award has been based on and mapped to the National Occupational Standards for hypnotherapy published by Skills for Health, the sector skills council for the UK health sector.
The aim of the diploma is to provide professional training in evidence-based hypnotherapy, through which students will acquire both a sound theoretical framework and the practitioner skills and techniques required to work safely and effectively with clients.
The principal and main trainer for the UK College is Mark Davis, a therapist and meditation teacher – and the Director and Principal of The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. Mark trained originally trained in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy at The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and developed a full time hypnotherapy practice in Central London before taking of the UK College as principal in 2013.
